However, that could change soon with the creation of Xiaomi Official Store Global at Shopee by Xiaomi Malaysia. Through this store, customers will be able to purchase Xiaomi products directly from China.

Follow the store between 17-23 May for a chance to win Mi Band 3: https://t.co/rDWmGwvLPh pic.twitter.com/LV2FsePUsm — Xiaomi Malaysia #MovieMagic (@XiaomiMalaysia) May 17, 2019 While it might carry the official seal of Xiaomi Malaysia who also guaranteed the store’s international shipping service, products that are purchased through this store are not subjected to the company’s warranty policy though. Even though they can still be serviced at Mi Service Centers in Malaysia, they are tied to Xiaomi China’s warranty instead. Additionally, customers need to bear any import taxes, custom duties, and other related fees that might be imposed on their products when they are shipped to Malaysia. Furthermore, these products might feature documentation, manual, and user interface that are specific to China.

As interesting as this news might be, products that have been listed on the store until 10:30 AM today are still those that are already officially available in Malaysia though. Guess you still have to wait a little bit further to see if there are any China-exclusive Xiaomi products that will be made available in the store.
