To quickly recap, the second season will pick directly where the first left off, when Geralt of Rivia (aka the White Wolf), finally meets his “destiny”, Ciri. For those among us who have seen the trailers, their story will be focused on Geralt keeping Ciri safe, while also taking her to his home, Kaer Morhen. Where Ciri will also be trained as a Witcher by her new father figure, along with his own mentor, Vesemir. Additionally, the show will also directly follow up with the fate of Yennefer of Vengerberg, right she burned an entire Nilfgaardian party to cinders at the Battle of Sodden. Again, based on the trailers, it seems that her part of the series will begin by being captured by the Nilfgaardian sorceress, Fringilla Vigo. Oh, and we’re particularly excited about the return of Jaskier (also known as Dandelion), whom Geralt just can’t seem to get rid of. Netflix’s adaptation of the Polish book series of the same name was critically acclaimed and very well received, despite the mixed reviews back in 2019. Moreover, Steam also saw a wave of renewed interest in CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a week after the series’ debut on the streaming service.
