The word “Sero” itself means vertical in Korean and it was quite clear the name was aptly chosen for the TV. According to Samsung, the reason why it chose to design The Sero as a vertical QLED TV is to cater the millennial generation that is more exposed to contents on smartphones which are generally being presented in vertical form.

Hence, it is not surprising that Samsung has also equipped Sero with NFC capability so that users can easily mirror their phone to the TV. Meanwhile, the Bixby-equipped TV can still be set to the standard horizontal position and also features a 4.1 channel audio system that is inclusive of 60-watt speakers. For starters, The Sero will be made available as a 43-inch model in Korea by the end of May. Based on Google Translator, the TV is apparently priced at KRW 18.9 million which is equal to around RM 67,329 and that made it more expansive than the 75-inch Samsung 8K QLED TV here in Malaysia.
