According to the official announcement by the department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the decision to provide the extension to Huawei is to avoid any disruptions while the U.S government continues to persuade consumers in the country to move away from Huawei products.

At the same time, BIS has also stated it has added an additional 46 entities that are affiliated with Huawei into its Entity List. With that, the list now contains more than 100 organizations or individuals with known connection to Huawei. Meanwhile, the U.S President Donald Trump has yet to provide additional remarks regarding this announcement despite the sentiment that he expressed a few days ago. Regardless of that, it is quite clear that it is going to take some time before we are able to see the conclusion of the saga between Huawei and the U.S government.
