In the announcement which was made through its social network channels and official website, the Huawei Mate 30 series will be officially launched on 19 September. The same announcement has also stated the launch event will take place in Munich, Germany.

— Huawei Mobile (@HuaweiMobile) September 1, 2019 Naturally, no official detail regarding the phone has been released so far. Based on the leaks that we’ve seen so far, the Mate 30 will be powered by Kirin 990 which itself is expected to be launched at Huawei’s IFA event next week.  This was revealed by a leaked marketing material which has also unveiled the phone’s round rear camera module and display notch. Since now that we already have an official launch date, expect more leaks to come out into the light as we get closer to the date.

Meanwhile, Huawei is expected to face some difficulties in getting Mate 30 into consumer hands. This is because that the phone might not be able to carry Google services given the circumstances between the company and the United States government despite the license extension provided by the latter. All in all, the launch of Mate 30 later this month is going to be very interesting in terms of both it being a new product with a totally new design, as well as the situation that Huawei is facing at the moment. So, watch this space. (Source: Huawei // Zyad via Slashleaks.)
